COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL
In commemoration of World TB Day 2026, this conference will address the latest tuberculosis prevention and elimination strategies in New York City and across the United States. The program features sessions on local epidemiology, the implementation of the 1HP regimen, optimized Rifampin dosing and the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing TB care.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This conference is open to physicians, nurses, TB survivors, public health staff, and other health care workers who manage patients at risk for or diagnosed with TB infection or disease.
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Recognize the epidemiology of TB in NYC to make informed decisions about screening, testing, and treatment of TB amongst high-risk populations.

Discuss recommendations for treatment of individuals diagnosed with TB disease, including the implications of dosing and drug reactions.

Summarize updated recommendations for the treatment of Latent TB Infection among special populations.

Explore the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in TB diagnosis and treatment.

The Coalition for a Tuberculosis-Free NYC’s mission is to prevent and eliminate TB in NYC through community engagement, public-private partnership, and innovation & research. The coalition is a collaborative, citywide effort among stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate a strategic plan to eliminate TB in NYC with a human rights-, social justice- and patient-centered approach.
