December 2019 Coalition Meeting 

Meeting Highlights â€‹â€‹â€‹

  • Special thank you to ICAP Mailman School of Public Health for hosting our December 13, 2019 meeting.

​

  • 40 partners attended and represented a diverse group of stakeholders in TB care.

​

  • Stakeholders discussed the process for developing a NYC-based Health Care Personnel (HCP) Risk Assessment Tool for TB. A committee of Coalition members will lead this project after the State's guidelines and the NTCA companion document are released.

​

  • The Health Care Personnel (HCP) Workgroup will further discuss the new CDC HCP testing recommendations and how it may affect HCP testing in New York City. To join or learn more, contact tbfreenyc1@gmail.com.​​

The Coalition for a TB-Free NYC aims to prevent and eliminate TB in NYC through community engagement, public-private partnership, and innovation & research.
The Coalition unites various stakeholders across traditional and non-traditional industries, disciplines, and care levels to develop, implement, and evaluate a strategic plan to eliminate TB in NYC. The Coalition’s work will be guided by a human rights-, social justice- and patient-centered approach.
