20 partners attended our first virtual Coalition meeting on June 26, 2020.

Stephanie Michel, a CDC Public Health Associate, presented on and facilitated a conversation on challenges with TB care due to COVID-19.

Our discussion centered around the reasons for the decrease in TB case reporting in NYC during the peak of the pandemic, during the months of March to May of 2020 compared to the same time in 2019. Specifically,
-
a 48% decrease* in TB case reports in March 2020 compared to March 2019;

an 85% decrease* in April 2020 compared to April 2019; and
-
a 70% decrease* in May 2020 compared to May 2019.
